ILA is the moniker of the 22 years old singer-songwriter Ilayda Cicek. Her music is characterised by her unique voice and unadulterated emotions which unmask the inconsistencies of life. Expect a wayward, tender and honest artist accompanied by Cas Kinnaer (drums) and Sam Smeets (Guitar). Her debut EP 'Ila', containing 4 live-recorded songs, was released in February 2018 and her second EP is ready to be released in autumn 2019. She was runner-up in the 2017 Limbomania competition and was selected for Humo's Rock Rally and Studio Brussel's De Nieuwe Lichting. She's artist in residence at the Muziekodroom in Hasselt. 
Since 2017 she's played over 45 shows at Ancienne Belgique, Trix, Handelsbeurs, Muziekodroom, Absolutely Free Festival, We Are Open, ...

Recently ILA returned to the studio with Cas Kinnaer (drums) and Sam Smeets (guitar) to record a brand new EP supervised/engineered and recorded by producer Bert Vliegen (Whispering Sons, Horses, Teen Creeps, Fornet,…). To be released on oct. 18 via noisesome recordings.
